Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Legal Assistant to support its Orlando office. This role provides high-level administrative and billing support to attorneys within the Labor & Employment practice group. The ideal candidate brings strong law firm experience, particularly within labor and employment, along with advanced billing and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support to Labor & Employment attorneys
• Manage billing processes using Aderant (time entry, edits, tracking, analysis)
• Prepare, review, and submit client invoices; resolve billing discrepancies
• Coordinate with attorneys and accounting to ensure accurate billing compliance
• Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
• Handle federal and state court filings (e-filing experience required)
• Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines
• Communicate with clients and internal teams professionally and efficiently

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably in Labor & Employment law
• Strong experience with Aderant or similar billing software
• Proficiency in federal and state court e-filing systems
• Excellent proofreading, drafting, and attention to detail
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with legal teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
