Now Hiring: Banking & Finance Legal Assistant (Transactional)
Houston (near the Galleria) | Full-time | Onsite
We’re partnering with a well-regarded Houston law firm to add an experienced Legal Assistant to support its Banking & Finance practice. This role provides high-level administrative and transactional legal support , with a strong emphasis on billing and document management , directly supporting 4 attorneys in a collaborative, team-first environment.
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary range: $65,000–$90,000
• Firm-paid parking (very close to the building)
• Medical insurance: employee-only premiums 100% covered

• Dental insurance (employee-only premium covered – basic plan)
• 3% profit sharing from Day 1 (vesting applies)

What you’ll do:
• Review, edit, and distribute prebills and invoices
• Handle transactional documents and legal correspondence
• Manage files, calendars, meetings, travel, and reimbursements
• Draft and edit legal documents; assist with private offering documents
• Track CLE attendance and attorney hours
• Provide day-to-day support to assigned attorneys and practice groups
What we’re looking for:
• Transactional legal experience required
• Banking & Finance experience strongly preferred
• 5+ years of legal administrative experience
• Legal billing software knowledge ( Aderant preferred )
• Strong MS Office skills
• 70 WPM typing, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills
