Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or Associates degree
• 3 to 5 years of experience in proofreading, editing, and formatting technical documentation
• Masters degree preferred
• Experience with technical writing or related instructions and procedures
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of military supply chain processes and product life-cycle management
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of employees and external contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Capability to stand, walk, twist, bend, and squat periodically
• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance, US Citizenship required

• Develop diagrams, charts, and graphs to enhance user understanding
• Manipulate graphics and visuals for inclusion in documentation
• Edit and review drafts for format, clarity, and compliance with editorial standards
• Create and maintain templates, DTDs, EDDs, and structural applications
• Participate in project meetings along with validation and verification efforts
• Track documentation for development, planning, and scheduling needs
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and clarity of technical content
• Promptly communicate challenges or issues to leadership
• Interface with desktop publishers, logisticians, multimedia personnel, and SMEs
• Maintain detailed records
• Participate in validation and verification events
• Record and distribute meeting minutes
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned
